Other than getting nervous, there’s some other useful things to do in the week before the race:
Sunday: Check you have all the kit you need and do any repairs needed on your boat. Maybe treat yourself with a new rudder wire – it’s a special occasion!
Monday: Buy any kit you realised you were missing when you checked everything yesterday.
Tuesday: Contact your support team, make sure they have all the information they need before the big day.
Wednesday: Work out what food you will need for the race, then head to the supermarket and enjoy an excuse to raid the unhealthy aisles.
Thursday: Start eating pasta, and lots of it!
Friday: Prep all your kit, load up the car and register at Devizes if you’re planning an early start on Saturday. Stay hydrated.
Try your best to get a good night’s sleep….
THEN IT’S RACE DAY!
